Marisvitae (Pvt) Ltd is a Sri Lankan aquaculture enterprise. We work in inland perennial reservoirs in Monaragala District, in partnership with registered Fisheries Cooperative Societies, under the national aquaculture framework administered by NAQDA.
Giant Freshwater Prawn is our product; Marisvitae Ceylon is the brand under which we bring it to chefs, restaurants, and export buyers.
The company was founded by returning members of the Sri Lankan diaspora, with the specific intent of channelling overseas capital into rural inland fisheries.

Certified Hatchery
Every Ceylon Giant Prawn begins its journey in a NAQDA-authorised hatchery, where post-larvae are nurtured under controlled brackish-water conditions before release. NAQDA — the National Aquaculture Development Authority — sets the national framework under which our hatchery partners operate.
With the arrival of the monsoon, these young prawns are moved into Sri Lanka's inland reservoir systems, marking the transition from cultivation to nature-led growth.
